I like this more than I should, really.

Started this at school when I should've been listening, finished it when I should've been getting ready for my English class, linearted this while I should've been resting, and coloured it while I should've been at school. As you can see, it breaks many rules.

There so many things I thought while drawing this, I don't even know where to begin. Almost everything has a meaning, a source of inspiration, or something. For the background, I think flying over the GTA San Andreas map at night affected me. If you ask me, the city, the beach and the river/sea beyond has a GTA Vice City-ish look. Yeah, I'm a GTA nerd. About the characters, well... Joseph is not standing at the edge of a rooftop just because. We all know he isn't. He was... Hum, practicing freefall before Ian arrived. It's just that he forgot his parachute! ...Yeah, right. And Ian, well, he's my silk-haired sexy vampire X3 Yeah, I should've never read the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. But hell it was inspiring! ...If you ask me, it's ironic that Joseph is paler than the vampire himself, but hey, it's an interesting concept indeed.

Speaking of concepts, making Ian a kinda-mythical creature while Joseph is just human fits Ian's concept of Joseph: he sees him as someone frail, really, someone who needs protection. The scene I pictured in my head is that Ian prevented Joseph from jumping from the rooftop, meaning he's watching over him. And, well... What came after, it was the heat of the moment. Tee hee

Both and I agree that Joseph looks more than happy here xD He looks, in a way, both excited and peaceful, while Ian... I didn't discuss it with my GF, but I think he looks protective and... Just Ian being Ian He's hard to describe sometimes.

This picture, and especially its title, which is been in my head for a while now, gave me some very interesting ideas than involve Ian being a writer like me (which is in fact canon) and further plagiarizing of my GF's awesome Project UFO. But of course, I highly doubt any of that will be posted here! That's just for me and Tali

P.S. 2- In case you can't read the quotes above... I don't feel like writing them here. One of them is taken from Talia's "Truth or Dare" (which she stole from me Lil' thief), and the other was made up by me. If you undertood that the one I wrote was Ian's point of view and Talia's was Joseph's point of view without me explaining it, a winner is you. Have a kewkie.
