HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: They relationship wasn't deep, and Ian held some resentment against her because of the danger she put their family in and blamed her because of his sister's death - but he loved her, and still needs her a lot.
DAD: Lucas Ferreira, a teacher of Spanish who entered the military after his wife's death in order to protect Ian.
HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: it was hard for them to get along well, especially since Lucas had to handle taking care of the depressive young Ian without any help. Ian always insists that his father was a coward, that he let himself be killed in battle because he couldn't handle taking care of his son, and that he left Ian alone "way too early".
SIBLINGS: Eliana, who was kidnapped and apparently murdered at the age of 7 because of her mother's subversive ways.
